Depuis le d\u00e9but de l’hivernage, le Mali fait face \u00e0 une situation d’urgence : au moins 177 personnes ont perdu la vie dans des inondations qui continuent de ravager le pays. Le Comit\u00e9 interminist\u00e9riel de gestion des crises et catastrophes a recens\u00e9 656 cas d’inondations ayant caus\u00e9 148 bless\u00e9s, la destruction de 37 999 maisons et affect\u00e9 264 646 personnes, touchant ainsi 47 955 familles.<\/p>\n

Les infrastructures ne sont pas \u00e9pargn\u00e9es. Le minist\u00e8re de l’\u00c9ducation nationale signale que 128 \u00e9coles publiques sont occup\u00e9es par des sinistr\u00e9s, 167 restent inond\u00e9es, et 256 \u00e9tablissements scolaires se sont effondr\u00e9s. Le gouvernement a d\u00fb reporter la rentr\u00e9e scolaire du 1er octobre au 4 novembre, apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9cr\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0l’\u00e9tat de catastrophe nationale\u00a0\u00bb le 23 ao\u00fbt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les pluies torrentielles se prolongent, gonflant les principaux cours d’eau et leurs affluents. Les autorit\u00e9s appellent la population \u00e0 la vigilance : \u00e9vacuer les zones \u00e0 risque, \u00e9viter de s’engager sur les routes inond\u00e9es, et se mettre \u00e0 l’abri en cas de fortes pluies. Malgr\u00e9 les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s pour limiter les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts, le pays peine \u00e0 faire face aux cons\u00e9quences de ces intemp\u00e9ries exceptionnelles.<\/span><\/p>\n
