Le Tour du Faso, \u00e9preuve phare du cyclisme sur le continent, a officiellement r\u00e9int\u00e9gr\u00e9 le calendrier international de l\u2019Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), mettant ainsi fin \u00e0 une suspension qui durait depuis 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Cette r\u00e9int\u00e9gration marque le retour de la comp\u00e9tition parmi les courses reconnues par l\u2019instance mondiale du cyclisme et ouvre la voie \u00e0 une \u00e9dition 2026 qui s\u2019annonce particuli\u00e8rement relev\u00e9e sur le plan sportif.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Le Tour du Faso avait \u00e9t\u00e9 retir\u00e9 du calendrier de l\u2019UCI \u00e0 la suite de la participation de l\u2019\u00e9quipe russe du CSKA Moscou lors de l\u2019\u00e9dition 2023. Cette pr\u00e9sence avait \u00e9t\u00e9 jug\u00e9e contraire aux sanctions internationales alors appliqu\u00e9es aux \u00e9quipes sportives russes et bi\u00e9lorusses dans le contexte du conflit en Ukraine. En cons\u00e9quence, l\u2019\u00e9preuve avait perdu son statut international tout en continuant \u00e0 \u00eatre organis\u00e9e comme comp\u00e9tition nationale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Malgr\u00e9 cette situation, le Burkina Faso a maintenu la tenue de sa prestigieuse course cycliste. L\u2019\u00e9dition 2025, disput\u00e9e du 24 octobre au 2 novembre, a notamment \u00e9t\u00e9 remport\u00e9e par le champion burkinab\u00e8 Paul Daumont, confirmant la vitalit\u00e9 du cyclisme national.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Cr\u00e9\u00e9 en 1987, le Tour du Faso est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l\u2019une des plus grandes comp\u00e9titions cyclistes d\u2019Afrique. Class\u00e9e en cat\u00e9gorie 2 de l\u2019UCI avant sa suspension, l\u2019\u00e9preuve attire traditionnellement des \u00e9quipes et des coureurs venus de plusieurs continents et constitue une vitrine importante pour le sport burkinab\u00e8.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Le retour de la course dans le calendrier international devrait permettre de renforcer son attractivit\u00e9, d\u2019accro\u00eetre la participation des \u00e9quipes \u00e9trang\u00e8res et de redonner \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve son rayonnement d\u2019antan. Les acteurs du cyclisme national esp\u00e8rent ainsi voir le Tour du Faso retrouver pleinement sa place parmi les rendez-vous majeurs du calendrier africain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Cette r\u00e9habilitation intervient dans un contexte favorable au d\u00e9veloppement du cyclisme au Burkina Faso. En 2026, le pays a notamment organis\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s la premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition du Tour F\u00e9minin Yennenga, disput\u00e9e du 13 au 19 avril, une initiative salu\u00e9e pour sa contribution \u00e0 la promotion du cyclisme f\u00e9minin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Avec son retour dans le giron de l\u2019UCI, le Tour du Faso s\u2019appr\u00eate \u00e0 \u00e9crire une nouvelle page de son histoire.
