Cette d\u00e9cision consacre la volont\u00e9 des autorit\u00e9s de reprendre le contr\u00f4le int\u00e9gral d\u2019un levier cl\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9conomie nationale, dans un contexte marqu\u00e9 par des d\u00e9fis structurels persistants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Jusqu\u2019ici d\u00e9tenue majoritairement par l\u2019\u00c9tat \u00e0 hauteur de 89 %, avec une participation r\u00e9siduelle de 11 % r\u00e9partie entre d\u00e9membrements publics et investisseurs priv\u00e9s, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 passe d\u00e9sormais sous pavillon enti\u00e8rement public. L\u2019op\u00e9ration vise, selon les autorit\u00e9s, \u00e0 renforcer la gouvernance et \u00e0 aligner davantage la strat\u00e9gie de l\u2019entreprise sur les priorit\u00e9s nationales de d\u00e9veloppement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Pilier historique de l\u2019\u00e9conomie burkinab\u00e8, le coton repr\u00e9sente une source essentielle de devises et de revenus pour des millions de producteurs. Pourtant, la SOFITEX traverse depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es une zone de turbulence. Endettement croissant, charges de fonctionnement \u00e9lev\u00e9es, retards de paiement aux producteurs : autant de facteurs qui ont fragilis\u00e9 la cha\u00eene de valeur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u00c0 cela s\u2019ajoutent des contraintes exog\u00e8nes, notamment la volatilit\u00e9 des prix sur le march\u00e9 international et la hausse des co\u00fbts des intrants agricoles. Ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments ont r\u00e9duit la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 de la fili\u00e8re, mettant sous pression les marges de l\u2019entreprise et le pouvoir d\u2019achat des producteurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">En optant pour une nationalisation compl\u00e8te, le gouvernement entend reprendre la main sur les orientations strat\u00e9giques de la fili\u00e8re coton. Cette d\u00e9cision s\u2019inscrit dans une logique plus large de souverainet\u00e9 \u00e9conomique, port\u00e9e par les autorit\u00e9s, avec en toile de fond la vision du Capitaine Ibrahim Traor\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">L\u2019objectif affich\u00e9 est double : assainir la situation financi\u00e8re de l\u2019entreprise et am\u00e9liorer son efficacit\u00e9 op\u00e9rationnelle. En devenant l\u2019unique actionnaire, l\u2019\u00c9tat pourra, en th\u00e9orie, acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les r\u00e9formes internes, rationaliser les co\u00fbts et garantir une meilleure redistribution des ressources au profit des producteurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Au-del\u00e0 du cas de la SOFITEX, cette d\u00e9cision constitue un test grandeur nature pour la strat\u00e9gie \u00e9conomique du Burkina Faso.
