N\u00e9 le 3 juillet 1980 \u00e0 Ouagadougou, ce r\u00e9alisateur appartient \u00e0 une g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019auteurs africains pour qui la cam\u00e9ra n\u2019est pas un simple outil de cr\u00e9ation, mais un vecteur de r\u00e9sistance. Cin\u00e9aste engag\u00e9, coordinateur du <em>Collectif G\u00e9n\u00e9ration Films<\/em>, il fait du septi\u00e8me art un espace de combat, d\u2019alerte et de m\u00e9moire, capturant les fractures sociales et politiques de l\u2019Afrique d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Un d\u00e9tour par la communication, un destin fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 par l\u2019image<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rien ne pr\u00e9destinait Salam Zampaligr\u00e9 \u00e0 se frayer un chemin dans le monde du cin\u00e9ma. C\u2019est pourtant en 2001, apr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudes en communication, qu\u2019il choisit de s\u2019orienter vers une carri\u00e8re cin\u00e9matographique. Attir\u00e9 par la puissance de l\u2019image, il trouve dans ce m\u00e9dium un langage capable de faire entendre les col\u00e8res muettes et de rendre visibles les marges. En 2007, il d\u00e9croche un master professionnel en r\u00e9alisation de fiction \u00e0 l\u2019Institut Sup\u00e9rieur de l\u2019Image et du Son (ISIS) de Ouagadougou, une \u00e9tape fondatrice dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration de son style.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entre fiction et documentaire, un cin\u00e9ma sans concessions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Salam Zampaligr\u00e9 explore avec rigueur les zones grises de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 burkinab\u00e9 et africaine. D\u00e8s ses premiers courts m\u00e9trages, il affirme une voix singuli\u00e8re : <em>Juste un peu d\u2019amour<\/em> (2007), <em>B\u00e9odar\u00e9<\/em> (2008), <em>Une lettre au Pr\u00e9sident<\/em> (2010) ou encore <em>Exil, les voix des sans voix<\/em> (2012) sont autant de cris d\u2019alerte, de regards ac\u00e9r\u00e9s sur les abus, les injustices et les non-dits. Son cin\u00e9ma, oscillant entre documentaire et fiction, ne cherche ni \u00e0 s\u00e9duire ni \u00e0 enjoliver, mais \u00e0 interpeller.<\/p>\n<p>Son premier long m\u00e9trage, <em>La R\u00e9publique des corrompus<\/em> (2018), dresse un portrait sans fard des m\u00e9andres du pouvoir. En 2022, il r\u00e9cidive avec <em>Le taxi, le cin\u00e9ma et moi<\/em>, une \u0153uvre introspective qui m\u00eale m\u00e9moire, regard social et mise en abyme. Ce film recevra en 2023 le Prix du film documentaire au 12\u1d49 Festival du cin\u00e9ma africain, consacrant un parcours coh\u00e9rent, discret mais essentiel.<\/p>\n<p>Ce qui distingue Salam Zampaligr\u00e9, c\u2019est sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 faire surgir l\u2019\u00e9motion sans grandiloquence, \u00e0 donner voix aux invisibles sans voyeurisme, \u00e0 convoquer l\u2019histoire sans nostalgie. Il capte son \u00e9poque avec la pr\u00e9cision d\u2019un documentariste et la sensibilit\u00e9 d\u2019un conteur. Dans un contexte o\u00f9 la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression reste fragile, son \u0153uvre s\u2019\u00e9rige en contre-pouvoir, en trace vive d\u2019un continent en mouvement.<\/p>\n<p>Plus qu\u2019un cin\u00e9aste, Salam Zampaligr\u00e9 est un veilleur.
