Contemporain de grands noms comme K\u00e9l\u00e9tigui Ouattara et Sinar\u00e9 Moussa dit \u00ab\u00a0Koumassi\u00a0\u00bb, il fait partie de ces pionniers qui ont jet\u00e9 les bases de ce noble art dans l\u2019ancienne Haute-Volta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Son entr\u00e9e dans le monde de la boxe rel\u00e8ve presque du hasard. Enfant curieux et passionn\u00e9, il passe ses week-ends \u00e0 observer les entra\u00eenements du seul club de la ville, le Boxing Club de Bobo (BCB), dirig\u00e9 dans un b\u00e2timent pr\u00eat\u00e9 par l\u2019expatri\u00e9 Marc Deschamps. Ce qui n\u2019\u00e9tait au d\u00e9part qu\u2019un simple passe-temps devient rapidement une vocation. Attir\u00e9 par l\u2019intelligence tactique, l\u2019endurance et la rigueur de ce sport, il s\u2019y engage avec discipline et passion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">S\u00e9kou Ouattara s\u2019impose tr\u00e8s vite comme un <\/span><span class=\"s2\">puncheur redoutable<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, repr\u00e9sentant fi\u00e8rement le BCB dans plusieurs comp\u00e9titions, tant au niveau national qu\u2019en C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, alors capitale r\u00e9gionale de la boxe. Mais au-del\u00e0 de ses talents sur le ring, c\u2019est son esprit de leadership, son humilit\u00e9 et sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 transmettre le savoir qui marqueront durablement sa carri\u00e8re.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">En 1958, reconnu pour ses comp\u00e9tences et son influence, il est envoy\u00e9 au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal pour une formation d\u2019entra\u00eeneur. \u00c0 son retour, il est naturellement d\u00e9sign\u00e9 entra\u00eeneur titulaire du BCB. Toutefois, une divergence avec les responsables du club vers 1970 l\u2019am\u00e8ne \u00e0 quitter cette institution. Avec le soutien de m\u00e9c\u00e8nes locaux, notamment le directeur de l\u2019abattoir de Bobo, il fonde \u00ab Les Onze Taureaux \u00bb, qui deviendront la premi\u00e8re ossature du <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Ring Athletic Club (RAC)<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, futur vivier de champions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des soutiens pr\u00e9cieux comme <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Coulibaly Moussa dit \u00ab\u00a0Soukaro Moussa\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> et <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Balima Lamoussa<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, le RAC devient un des clubs les plus r\u00e9put\u00e9s du pays. Sous sa houlette, plusieurs talents \u00e9mergent, dont le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Fouss\u00e9ini Traor\u00e9 dit \u00ab\u00a0Scorpion\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, mais surtout son fr\u00e8re cadet, le brillant <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Moussa Ouattara<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, plusieurs fois champion de Haute-Volta et d\u2019Afrique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">En plus de ses activit\u00e9s en club, S\u00e9kou Ouattara met ses comp\u00e9tences au service du pays en tant qu\u2019adjoint de <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Paul Ou\u00e9draogo<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, au sein de l\u2019\u00e9quipe nationale de boxe. Formateur infatigable, meneur respect\u00e9, il aura consacr\u00e9 toute sa vie \u00e0 la transmission des valeurs du sport : rigueur, discipline, respect et d\u00e9passement de soi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Aujourd\u2019hui \u00e2g\u00e9 de <\/span><span class=\"s2\">86 ans<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, il vit une retraite paisible \u00e0 Donoma, quartier de Farakan \u00e0 Bobo-Dioulasso. Son parcours exemplaire force l\u2019admiration et m\u00e9rite la reconnaissance nationale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong><span class=\"s2\">H\u00e9ritage<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">S\u00e9kou Ouattara n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 qu\u2019un boxeur. Il fut <\/span><span class=\"s2\">un b\u00e2tisseur, un formateur, un leader naturel<\/span><span class=\"s1\">. Son impact d\u00e9passe largement les rings. Il a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 structurer la boxe burkinab\u00e8, \u00e0 forger des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations d\u2019athl\u00e8tes, et \u00e0 faire rayonner sa ville natale.
