Dans une interview exclusive accord\u00e9e \u00e0 <\/span>Russia Today (RT)<\/span>, le pr\u00e9sident de la Guin\u00e9e-Bissau, <\/span>Umaro Sissoko Embalo<\/span>, a justifi\u00e9 sa r\u00e9cente d\u00e9cision d\u2019expulser une mission de la <\/span>CEDEAO<\/span> et des <\/span>Nations Unies<\/span>, envoy\u00e9e pour r\u00e9soudre une crise politique dans son pays. Estimant que cette mission ne respectait ni la souverainet\u00e9 nationale ni les textes en vigueur, le chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat a vivement critiqu\u00e9 l\u2019attitude de l\u2019organisation sous-r\u00e9gionale et plaid\u00e9 pour une r\u00e9forme en profondeur de son fonctionnement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le pr\u00e9sident Embalo n\u2019a pas m\u00e2ch\u00e9 ses mots pour d\u00e9noncer ce qu\u2019il consid\u00e8re comme une <\/span>ing\u00e9rence inacceptable<\/span>. Selon lui, la mission de la CEDEAO s\u2019est rendue en Guin\u00e9e-Bissau sans pr\u00e9senter au pr\u00e9alable une <\/span>feuille de route claire<\/span>, un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel pour garantir la transparence de ses actions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Chacun doit savoir o\u00f9 son pouvoir commence et o\u00f9 il se termine \u00bb, a-t-il martel\u00e9, soulignant que la mission n\u2019avait pas respect\u00e9 la <\/span>Constitution bissau-guin\u00e9enne<\/span>, pourtant plac\u00e9e au-dessus des d\u00e9cisions de l\u2019organisation sous-r\u00e9gionale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Face \u00e0 ce qu\u2019il qualifie d\u2019<\/span>entorse aux r\u00e8gles diplomatiques<\/span>, Embalo a pris une d\u00e9cision radicale : <\/span>l\u2019expulsion pure et simple des \u00e9missaires de la CEDEAO et de l\u2019ONU<\/span>. \u00ab Ils sont all\u00e9s trop loin. Ils voulaient cr\u00e9er une crise politique profonde. \u00c7a, c\u2019est inacceptable ! \u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9nonc\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

Loin de craindre d\u2019\u00e9ventuelles repr\u00e9sailles, le pr\u00e9sident bissau-guin\u00e9en se montre confiant. Il exclut toute sanction \u00e0 l\u2019encontre de son pays et r\u00e9affirme la souverainet\u00e9 de la Guin\u00e9e-Bissau :<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Ce ne sont pas des petits fonctionnaires de la CEDEAO qui vont venir nous dicter ce que nous devons faire. Non, \u00e7a jamais ! \u00bb, a-t-il lanc\u00e9 avec fermet\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Selon lui, la CEDEAO doit revoir son organisation interne et mieux d\u00e9finir ses pr\u00e9rogatives. \u00ab C\u2019est une organisation qu\u2019on doit calibrer. Nous, les chefs d\u2019\u00c9tat, allons la calibrer \u00bb, a-t-il insist\u00e9, d\u00e9non\u00e7ant la pr\u00e9sence de <\/span>\u00ab militants et activistes \u00bb<\/span> au sein de la commission r\u00e9gionale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Revenant sur la crise nig\u00e9rienne, Umaro Sissoko Embalo a \u00e9galement reconnu des erreurs dans la gestion du coup d\u2019\u00c9tat qui a renvers\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident <\/span>Mohamed Bazoum<\/span> en juillet 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alors que la CEDEAO avait menac\u00e9 d\u2019une <\/span>intervention militaire<\/span> pour restaurer le pouvoir civil, Embalo consid\u00e8re aujourd\u2019hui cette option comme une mauvaise approche. \u00ab C\u2019est de notre faute. On aurait d\u00fb envisager une autre strat\u00e9gie \u00bb, a-t-il admis, estimant qu\u2019il faut d\u00e9sormais <\/span>se concentrer sur l\u2019avenir et sur le redressement de la CEDEAO<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Concernant le retrait du <\/span>Mali, du Burkina Faso et du Niger<\/span> de la CEDEAO, le pr\u00e9sident bissau-guin\u00e9en s\u2019est dit profond\u00e9ment attrist\u00e9 par cette d\u00e9cision. Ces trois pays, qui ont form\u00e9 l\u2019<\/span>Alliance des \u00c9tats du Sahel (AES)<\/span>, ont choisi de prendre leurs distances avec l\u2019organisation sous-r\u00e9gionale, mettant en p\u00e9ril la coh\u00e9sion de l\u2019espace ouest-africain.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab C\u2019est regrettable, dommage et p\u00e9nible \u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9, tout en reconnaissant leur <\/span>souverainet\u00e9 nationale<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Un avenir incertain pour la CEDEAO<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Face aux d\u00e9fis croissants qui secouent la CEDEAO, Umaro Sissoko Embalo appelle \u00e0 une r\u00e9forme en profondeur pour \u00e9viter l\u2019<\/span>effondrement<\/span> de l\u2019organisation. \u00ab La CEDEAO est cr\u00e9dible\u2026 On doit la relever \u00bb, a-t-il conclu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dans un contexte de tensions croissantes entre certains \u00c9tats membres et l\u2019organisation, l\u2019avenir de la CEDEAO semble plus incertain que jamais. La position tranch\u00e9e du pr\u00e9sident bissau-guin\u00e9en illustre la <\/span>fracture grandissante<\/span> entre les dirigeants ouest-africains et la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019une refonte du cadre institutionnel pour assurer la stabilit\u00e9 de la r\u00e9gion.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
